Delmarva Christian Announces "One Campus" Future

Delmarva Christian Schools, a leading institution in Christ-centered education since 2004, is excited to announce a significant development to better serve a growing student population and educational mission.

The school has experienced continuous growth in enrollment, necessitating the opening of a new campus in 2013 and expansion in 2014. However, due to increasing demand for Christian education and the area's population growth, DCS has once again outgrown its existing facilities.

To address this need, Delmarva Christian Schools is launching a $30 million capital campaign. The campaign's primary objective is to fund the construction of a 73,000 square-foot Upper School facility, a 13,000 square-foot Early Learning Center Facility, and renovations to the existing high school facility to accommodate elementary grades. This transformation will enable DCS to serve up to 1,000 students.

Operating two campuses for infants through grade 12 for several years, consolidating operations in Georgetown will enhance efficiency and the school's ability to cultivate a unified culture. The move will also facilitate enhanced student and faculty discipleship, improve safety and security measures, and establish a strong foundation for future growth. The new facility represents a significant enhancement in the academic and cultural experience for all students. The school has enlisted the architectural services of  Building God's Way (BGW) and Richard Y. Johnson & Son, Inc (RYJ) will serve as the project's construction manager.

"The design currently being created through the collaborative efforts of our DCS team, our architect BGW, and RYJ Construction, has state of the art learning environments including well equipped middle and high school science labs. In addition, the new auditorium, music/band spaces, secondary gymnasium, and industrial arts building will increase our athletic and arts opportunities," DCS Head of School, Matt Kwiatkowski. "This new 90,000 square foot building will bolster our mission, vision, and core values by removing the longstanding resource restrictions and open new doors for our students to continue exploring their God-given gifts, talents, and passions."

Delmarva Christian Schools remains dedicated to its mission, preparing students spiritually, academically, and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives.
