Delmarva Christian School Announces Steve Walker as Athletic Director
Delmarva Christian School is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Walker as its new Athletic Director.
Walker brings extensive experience in education, athletic administration, and student development. Most recently, he served as a Secondary Health & Physical Education Teacher in the Cape Henlopen School District. Prior to that, he worked in the Milford School District, where he served as a Health & Physical Education Teacher, Interim Dean of Discipline & School Climate, and Event Coordinator.
His professional background also includes leadership roles as an Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Supervisor, and Department Chair, along with coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. Walker holds a Master of Science in Sport Administration from Delaware State University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Shenandoah University.
Walker is passionate about using athletics as a platform to develop character, leadership, and faith in student-athletes.
“I'm excited to integrate faith into my career,” Walker said. “I feel driven to educate and mentor staff and students by way of a Biblical worldview. I want to help shape students’ character and faith alongside their academic and athletic development.”
As Athletic Director, Walker will oversee Delmarva Christian’s athletic programs while helping advance the school’s mission of preparing students spiritually, academically, and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives. Delmarva Christian School looks forward to the impact Walker will have on Royals Athletics and the broader school community.
