Delmarva Christian School Named Among Delaware’s Best Christian Schools for 2027

Delmarva Christian School (DCS) has been recognized by Niche, a leading platform for researching schools and colleges, as one of Delaware’s top Christian schools for 2027. DCS earned the No. 6 ranking among Christian K–12 schools statewide and was the top ranking Christian school in Sussex County.

Niche evaluates schools using a range of factors, including academic performance, extracurricular opportunities, and feedback from current students, alumni, and parents. Delmarva Christian earned an A- grade in academics, highlighting the strength of its educational program and commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation.

Over the past five years, 95% of DCS high school students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses earned qualifying grades for college credit, giving students a valuable head start on their college education and the potential to reduce future tuition costs. College readiness remains a central focus of the school’s academic mission. Last year, nearly all of DCS graduates pursued higher education and were accepted to 118 colleges across the country, earning 83 scholarships.  Additionally, over 40% of last year's graduating class were members of National Honor Society. 

“The student experience at Delmarva Christian High School is defined by a supportive, faith-based community that pushes students toward high standards of academic rigor, character development, and athletic excellence,” said Delmarva Christian High School College & Career Counselor, Mike Tyndall. “For example, last year, 33 students took an Advanced Placement exam, earning a 100% pass rate and exemplifying our commitment to scholastic achievement. Additionally, each of our students earns at least 100 community service hours before graduation, fulfilling their commitment to the betterment of our surrounding community.”

Beyond academic achievement, Delmarva Christian emphasizes character development, service, and spiritual growth. The school’s commitment to developing students spiritually, academically, and physically reflects its mission to prepare young people to know and do God’s will for their lives.
