Celebrating Student Artists at the Young at Art Showcase

The Rehoboth Art League Young at Art Showcase continues to highlight the creativity, skill, and unique perspectives of student artists from across the region. This annual event provides an incredible platform for young artists to share their work, refine their voice, and be recognized for their talent.

This year, Delmarva Christian School is proud to have multiple students selected to have their artwork featured in the showcase. Each piece reflects not only artistic ability, but also the thoughtfulness, creativity, and dedication these students bring to their craft.

Students with featured work include:
  • Chloe Grooms (10th grade)
  • Kayla Castro (10th grade)
  • Emily Lopez (12th grade)
  • Desi Hastings (12th grade)
  • Sophia Montag (10th grade)
  • Jude Baxter (10th grade)
  • Mary Downs (10th grade)
  • Kamryn Zarebicki (12th grade)
  • Cameron Hastings (11th grade)
  • Kaelyn McGinniss (11th grade)
In addition to having work featured, Chloe Grooms was nominated by Mrs. Hennigan and selected as the recipient of the James Kenneth Derrickson Memorial Scholarship—an honor that recognizes both artistic excellence and the ability to communicate meaningful ideas through visual expression.

“Chloe is a talented artist whose creativity is deeply influenced by her faith," Stacy Hennigan, High School Art Teacher. "Her work reflects both strong artistic ability and a genuine desire to communicate meaningful ideas through visual expression. Chloe is a creative-minded student who is not afraid of a challenge and often finds inspiration in the midst of chaos, using it as fuel for her artistic process. She approaches her work with thoughtfulness and purpose, allowing her beliefs and perspective to shape the message behind what she creates.”

We are grateful for opportunities like the Young at Art Showcase that encourage students to pursue excellence in the arts while using their gifts to communicate truth, beauty, and purpose.

Congratulations to all of our student artists on this outstanding achievement!
