Funding the Future 2026: A Night of Gratitude, Worship, and Vision

Nearly 300 guests gathered at Crossroad Community Church on Friday, October 16, for Delmarva Christian School's annual Funding the Future Banquet. The evening brought together families, alumni, donors, and community partners to celebrate the progress of the Stronger Together campus expansion and the shared mission behind it all.

From student-led praise and worship to updates on campus construction, the evening offered a meaningful reminder of what God is doing through the Delmarva Christian community. See Event Photos Here....

Worship That Brought Generations Together

One of the evening's most memorable moments was the praise and worship led by DCS students in grades 6–12 alongside alumna Charli Wilson, who traveled from Utah to share her gifts with the School community.
The team represented a unique blend of current students, alumni, and faculty. Charli led alongside alumnus Bryant Hazzard on keys, alumnus Donato Carmona on bass, and current teacher Mr. David Chappell on acoustic guitar, demonstrating how the DCS community continues to connect across generations.

It was a fitting picture of the School's mission and the relationships that make its community special.

$37 Million Raised for the Future

During the program, Interim Head of School Justin Savini shared the latest progress on the Stronger Together campus expansion. Over the last three years, the School has raised $37 million toward the project, reflecting an extraordinary commitment from donors and supporters.

“We are blown away with the support from this community,” Savini shared. “Over the last three years, we have raised $37 million toward this campus expansion project. It's a reminder that it is all because of Jesus, and we are in awe of what has come together in the advancement of His Kingdom.”

The milestone represents more than a fundraising achievement. It reflects a community investing in the future of Christian education and the generations of students who will learn, grow, worship, and build relationships on the campus for years to come.

Board President Marlene Brown also addressed guests as part of the evening's program, recognizing the importance of the School's mission and the community's continued commitment to its future.

Making Christian Education Accessible

The impact of the Funding the Future Banquet extends beyond campus improvements. The School’s fundraising efforts also help support its Accessible Tuition Program (ATP), which provides financial aid to eligible students in kindergarten through grade 12.

Made possible by generous donors, careful financial planning, and dedicated fundraising, ATP provides financial aid to eligible students in kindergarten through grade 12 by calculating a tuition rate based on each family’s unique financial situation. The program reflects Delmarva Christian’s commitment to helping more families access a Christ-centered education.

A Campus Taking Shape

Savini also highlighted the progress taking place across the campus, sharing a look at the facilities and improvements that will support students throughout their educational journey.
The project includes:
  • A new Early Learning Center serving the School's youngest learners.
  • Middle and High School facilities to support students through their secondary education.
  • Elementary School improvements
  • A revamped cafeteria and a Culinary Arts classroom.
  • A new softball field.
  • Multipurpose soccer and field hockey fields.
  • Additional campus improvements designed to enhance the student experience.
Together, these investments are helping bring the vision of a unified campus to life, creating opportunities for students across grade levels to learn and grow within one connected school community.

Building. Excitement. Together.

The Funding the Future Banquet was an opportunity to celebrate the progress already made while looking forward to what comes next.

Every gift, every prayer, and every act of service has helped move the Stronger Together project forward. The evening's worship, the generosity of nearly 300 guests, and the campus updates all pointed to the same truth: this work is about more than buildings. It is about preparing students to know and do God's will in their lives.
Delmarva Christian School is deeply grateful to everyone who has supported this vision. As construction continues and the campus takes shape, the School looks ahead with gratitude and anticipation for what God will do through this community.

Thank you for helping build the future of Delmarva Christian School. Together, we are building. Excitement. Together.
