Delmarva Christian High School Celebrates the Class of 2026

The Delmarva Christian High School Class of 2026 was honored May 22 at Crossroad Community Church as family, friends, faculty, staff, and church leaders gathered to celebrate a milestone years in the making.

The ceremony opened with the Presentation of the Symbols of Faith by National Honor Society members Maddie Taylor, Trey Beck, Alexis Worley, and Miranda Marlowe, followed by the National Anthem from Grace Lucas and a senior processional led by Claire Balliet.

In her welcome, Principal Chloe Hackett reflected on the community behind each graduate, recognizing veterans, board members, faculty, staff, families, and pastors who have shaped the students’ journey. She emphasized the partnership between home, school, and church, reminding attendees of the generational impact of faith.

National Honor Society President Chloe Wilkerson followed with a student address centered on identity and perseverance.

“We are children of God, and no matter where life takes us once we leave this building, that identity will remain constant throughout the rest of our lives,” Wilkerson shared.

Worship was led by the Senior Ensemble—Claire Balliet, Emilia Faubert, Lillian Sells, Isabella Stubbs, Chloe Wilkerson, and Kamryn Zarebicki—with moving performances of “The Lord Will Provide” and later “Oceans.”
Salutatorian Lily Jewell reflected on her journey from pursuing academic success to discovering deeper purpose in Christ, crediting teachers, mentors, and friends for shaping her faith and leadership. She will attend Lancaster Bible College to study Communications and Bible.

Valedictorian Claire Balliet encouraged classmates to view success through a different lens, pointing to Colossians 3:23 as a guiding reminder that excellence is found in effort, integrity, and purpose rather than accolades alone.

Guest speaker Pastor Adam Woods brought the evening’s keynote address from 2 Peter 1:3–8, challenging graduates to build their lives on Christ with perseverance, faith, and character.

"More than anything else, my advise is to go all in with Jesus. When you fail, run to Jesus. When you succeed, don't forget Jesus. What you pursue next will be what you become so pursue Jesus with everything that you have."

During the ceremony, Balliet was awarded the Royal Service Award for more than 621 hours of service, and Jewell received the Royal of the Year Award, honoring her spiritual leadership and embodiment of the school’s mission.

Board President Marlene Brown then conferred diplomas as each graduate crossed the stage, surrounded by a faculty receiving line that reflected the relationships formed during their time at Delmarva Christian.
The evening concluded with the tassel ceremony led by Harrison Schlabach, followed by caps in the air and celebration across the sanctuary.

The Class of 2026 now steps forward as alumni—equipped with faith, shaped by community, and called to be ambassadors for Christ in whatever comes next.
