Delmarva Christian School is proud to celebrate senior James Baxter, recipient of the 2026 Mountaire Farms Farm to Table Community Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes students pursuing careers in agriculture and the trades while demonstrating leadership, character, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Earlier this week, representatives from WBOC and Mountaire Farms visited Delmarva Christian to interview James as part of a feature highlighting scholarship recipients across the region. During their time on campus, the crew spoke with James about his future goals, work ethic, and the impact agriculture and hands-on trades have had on his life.

School counselor Terri Smith, who nominated James for the scholarship, was also featured in the segment. She shared about James’ strong character, dedication, and the qualities that made him a deserving recipient of this honor.

“We are incredibly proud of James and all that he has accomplished,” said Smith. “James is an excellent student, a leader in athletics, the classroom, and a community group leader, he's a perfect fit for this scholarship."

The Mountaire Farms Farm to Table Community Scholarship provides support for students as they prepare for future careers that help strengthen local communities and industries. James’ recognition is a reflection of both his personal achievements and the impact he has made during his time at Delmarva Christian.
