DCS Inducts 13 to National Honor Society

Delmarva Christian Welcomes New National Honor Society Inductees

There was a sense of purpose and celebration in the room as students, families, and staff gathered for the 2026 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony at Delmarva Christian High School.
More than an academic achievement, the evening served as a reflection of the kind of students being shaped at Delmarva Christian - students committed not only to excellence in the classroom, but also to leadership, service, character, and faith.

Throughout the ceremony, student speakers shared personal reflections on each of the four pillars of NHS, offering encouragement and challenge to their peers.

“God has given each of you gifts and opportunities to lead and serve others. Continue to work hard, encourage one another, and do all things for the glory of God,” said NHS President Chloe Wilkerson. “As you go into the next school year, it’s important to encourage one another, and build each other up as you continue working hard. I pray that you will all remain positive during your next few years at Delmarva Christian, and that you will joyfully walk into the good plan that the Lord has for your life.”

Vice President Kamryn Zarebicki reminded attendees that the organization represents something far deeper than recognition.

“NHS is not only about academic success, it’s about pushing yourself to become someone who continues to learn and excel, lead with humility, care for others, and act with honesty and integrity,” she shared.
That theme carried throughout the evening as each inductee connected the pillars of NHS to their faith and everyday lives.

Speaking on leadership, Tristan McCullough challenged students to think differently about influence and responsibility.

“One of the biggest misconceptions about leaders is that they are somehow superior to their fellow man,” he said. “The truth is all of us are leaders.”

Kaylin Conaway reflected on the importance of serving others with humility and consistency, reminding attendees that meaningful service often happens in simple, everyday moments.

“True greatness comes from serving others,” she shared while discussing the service pillar.
The evening also highlighted the supportive culture that exists within Delmarva Christian. Students repeatedly pointed to teachers, classmates, and mentors who encouraged them to pursue a higher standard both academically and spiritually.

Kelly Duffy, Director of Instruction and NHS Advisor, celebrated the students and the example they are already setting within the school community.

“It is a privilege to celebrate students who exemplify leadership, scholarship, service, and character both inside and outside the classroom,” Duffy shared during the ceremony.

As candles were lit, certificates presented, and names officially added to the NHS register, the ceremony became more than an induction - it became a reminder of the impact students can make when they commit to serving others and honoring God through their gifts.
