Delmarva Christian High School had the joy of welcoming grandparents and special guests to campus for a meaningful morning together. It was a special opportunity for students to share a part of their school experience with the people who have invested so much in their lives.
The morning began with worship led by members of Royals Worship, setting a tone of gratitude and reflection as families gathered. Guest speaker Bill Sammons then shared an encouraging message about the power of presence in the lives of the next generation.
One of the most memorable reminders from the morning was simple but profound: children spell love… T-I-M-E. In a world that often feels busy and rushed, the greatest gift we can give young people is our presence.
Bill also spoke about legacy, sharing a perspective that resonated deeply with everyone in the room:
“It’s not what you leave in your bank account, it’s what you teach by being consistent, kind, and patient.”
“It’s not what you leave in your bank account, it’s what you teach by being consistent, kind, and patient.”
His message echoed the truth found in Proverbs 17:6:
“Children’s children are the crown of old men.”
The morning was a powerful reminder that faith, character, and love are most often passed down through everyday moments—through time spent together and the example set for the next generation.
A special thank you goes to the volunteers who helped transform the gym from a basketball court into a place of reflection and worship, and to the grandparents and special guests who traveled to campus to be part of the day. Your presence made the morning truly meaningful for our students and school community.
