ATP Special Announcement

Dear DCS Parents,

Now that the 2023-2024 school year is underway, we want to pause and just give thanks for an incredible school year. 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
This passage reminds us to be joyful always, to pray without ceasing, and to give thanks in all circumstances. We are finding ourselves carrying that posture now. We are seeing a team of faculty and staff the Lord has assembled use resources the Lord has provided, to impact the lives of students the Lord has brought to us! And so, we are joyfully offering praise of thanksgiving!

In addition, our Accessible Tuition Program (ATP) has enabled about 180 families to attend our K-12 programs. Due to incredible community support and our partnership with the ACE Scholarship Program, we have awarded over $800,000 to about 40% of our student body this year. The ability to aid families in need not only protects the original vision that finances would not be a barrier, but also ensures that parents who desire Jesus-centered education have access to excellent Christian education.

Accessible Tuition Program (ATP) Process
Using feedback from families, we have made decisions to streamline our tuition assistance process for the 2024-2025 school year as follows:
  • November 20th and February 20th are two ATP information sessions held at the DCHS Arts and Athletic Center (21777 Sussex Pines Rd, Georgetown, 19947)
  • Switching back to the FACTS System for financial aid and tuition management. Only one application will need to be submitted annually for our ATP and ACE Scholarships.
  • February 1st - April 18th will be the first window for returning families during which a completed application and the uploading of required documents must occur. These cases will be reviewed starting on April 19th and families will be notified of their assistance by May 31st. 70% of funds will be distributed at this time.
  • June 20th - July 15th will be the second window ONLY for new families to distribute the remaining 30% of funds. These cases will be reviewed starting July 16th and these families will be notified by August 15th. 
  • August 7th - September 11th will be a third window ONLY if funds still exist for families who missed the first two windows. Because both DCS ATP and ACE have limited funds annually, this window will only be open if funding is still available.

It is our prayer that these best practices streamline the process for those families who need this assistance.
