Delmarva Christian School Students Retreats to Foster Spiritual Growth and Team Building

Georgetown, DE – Delmarva Christian Schools, a beacon of education and faith for students ranging from 1 year old to grade 8 in Milton, DE, and high school students in Georgetown, DE, recently organized two transformative retreats that left students inspired and spiritually enriched.

Middle School students spent their retreat at The Children's Beach House, Lewes, Delaware.
This retreat served as a platform for students to engage in team-building activities, immerse themselves in Bible studies, and strengthen the bonds within their class. During this enriching experience, students also had the privilege of hearing from J.T. Spadin, the Associate/Youth Pastor at LiFT Church in Salisbury, Maryland.

The annual Freshman Retreat at Black Rock Retreat in Pennsylvania is a hallmark event at Delmarva Christian Schools. This year, the freshman class embarked on a three day journey that provided students with a unique opportunity to disconnect from technology and immerse themselves in meaningful interactions with their peers, senior student leaders, teachers, and staff. United Church youth pastor, Lucas Stearns delivered multiple sermons for the students.

The primary goal of the retreats are to allow God to work in the hearts and minds of the students, both as individuals and as a class. Throughout the retreat, students cultivated new friendships, deepened their relationships with existing friends, and drew closer to Jesus through a variety of activities and experiences.

"We are thrilled to provide our students with these enriching retreat experiences that foster personal growth, spiritual development, and strong bonds within our school community. These get-aways remind us all that the goals are neither test scores nor premier colleges, as important as those things are. Instead, at Delmarva Christian Schools, we are committed to nurturing students who, while being a well prepared academic, love Jesus and love others.” Matt Kwiatkowski, DCS Head of Schools

These retreats exemplify Delmarva Christian Schools' dedication to providing a holistic education that nurtures the hearts and minds of their students, emphasizing character development, spiritual growth, and meaningful relationships.

Delmarva Christian Schools provide Christian education to students in grades 9-12 at the high school in Georgetown and for young toddlers through eighth graders in Milton.
