Why Delmarva Christian?

I teach at Delmarva Christian because I have the opportunity to put Jesus at the center of everything I do in my classroom!

How did you end up at Delmarva Christian?

After graduating from Bridgewater College in VA, I came to Delaware with my husband. I applied to a handful of public schools and a few private schools to be a first year teacher. I landed on DCS after a phone call from Jessica Hague and an interview with admin. I knew I wanted to teach at Delmarva when they opened up my interview with a prayer. Drew prayed for me and our time together.

What do you think is unique about DC?

Coming in as a first year teacher to a new school can be very challenging. However, I was met with an amazing grade band and awesome leadership, which made my first year feel like a blessing. I just felt right at home!!

What is your favorite lesson to teach in class?

I love teaching Science and Math! I love to use games and hands on experiences to ignite learning, especially in those two subjects!

Favorite verse or passage?
"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

Fun Fact?

My husband and I share a birthday - December 14th!

I am also the volleyball coach for the middle school girls.
