DCS School Themes

Each year, Delmarva Christian Schools has embarked on a journey of spiritual reflection and growth through a series of school-wide themes. These themes not only mirror our institution's core values but also serve as beacons illuminating our shared purpose beyond our mission, which is to proclaim the Gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically, and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives.

Commencing in 2009-2010 with "Striving for Excellence," our school emphasized the pursuit of excellence as a reflection of our commitment to glorifying God in all aspects of life. This dedication laid the groundwork for subsequent themes, such as "Maturing in Holiness" (2010-2011), which centered on personal growth and the nurturing of spiritual maturity in our students.

As the years unfolded, themes like "Motivated by Love" (2011-2012) and "Sharing His Story" (2014-2015) underscored the significance of love, compassion, and evangelism within our Christian community. These themes encouraged students and staff alike to embody Christ's teachings in their daily interactions and outreach endeavors.

"Building. Excitement." (2012-2013) and "Moving Forward. Mission Focused." (2013-2014) celebrated our school's forward momentum and unwavering commitment to our divine mission during a campus relocation and build from Airport Road to Sussex Pines. They instilled a sense of purpose and determination, reminding us that our journey is guided by faith and fueled by God's calling.

Themes such as "Awakened by Truth" (2017-2018) and "Rooted in Christ" (2018-2019) placed a spotlight on the importance of spiritual awakening and grounding in the unchanging truths of the Gospel. These themes urged individuals to deepen their understanding of biblical principles and cultivate a steadfast foundation in Christ.

In recent years, themes like "Stronger Together" (2023-2024) have emphasized the profound significance of unity and collaboration within our Christian community. They serve as poignant reminders that we are all members of the body of Jesus Christ, working harmoniously towards common goals under His divine guidance.
