Sherman Visits Delmarva

On February 17, Sherman the Shorebird from the Delmarva Shorebirds stopped in at the Milton Campus to discuss the Hit the Books Program. The Shorebirds, in conjunction with Dr. James M. Crouse at The Brace Place & Dentistry for Children, partnered with local schools like Delmarva Christian Schools for the annual Hit the Books program. The Hit the Books program is a long running initiative from the Delmarva Shorebirds where students who reach their reading goal receive two free tickets to a Shorebirds game. 

Sherman, the Shorebirds' mascot stopped in to read a book to the Kindergarten - Third grade classes. After acting out the story, Sherman posed for pictures with students and poked his beak into several middle school classes.
