Teaching students the many different components of reading and watching them apply that knowledge to their own reading never ceases to amaze me.
Why Delmarva Christian?
This school had a profound impact on my son.  Being able to share your faith and testimony to children is paramount.  I want to be a part of that.

How did you end up at Delmarva Christian?
I was born and raised in Milton but commuted to Greensboro Elementary in Greensboro, MD for 32 years!  Last year I retired from Caroline County Public Schools.  I was not ready to leave the career I love, but I was ready for a change. I thought DCMC would be a good fit for me.

What is your favorite lesson to teach in class?
I love to teach reading!  Reading books to my students is one of my favorite things to do.  I love the sounds, rhythm, rhyme and patterns of words.  Teaching students the many different components of reading and watching them apply that knowledge to their own reading never ceases to amaze me.

Favorite verse or passage?
Isaiah 40:31 - But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, t hey shall walk and not faint.

Fun Fact?
I have played the piano since I was 8 years old.  I began playing in church as a full time pianist at 14.  Currently, I play in the praise band at my church.
